I grew up surrounded with National Geographic magazines and a family’s love for ethnic art. Spring is also my favourite season so I’ve carefully chosen each colour to represent the bright buds and blossoms which appear at that time.
The bracelet is made using a traditional loom beading technique, which is something I’ve been doing since I was a teenager. Each bead is carefully woven to the next on a small loom in a similar manner to textile weaving.
Most bracelets of this type use seed beads but I prefer the higher quality Japanese Delica beads. These small tubular shaped beads give a flat fit on the wrist and bring the bright colours to life. To make sure your newest jewellery addition is strong and durable I’ve used the highest quality Miyuki beading thread. Finally, the bracelet is finished with a gold plated clasp and chain so you can extend by a further 6cm if desired.
