Lake Point Tower, Chicago In Black and White

A stunning monochrome image of the award-winning Lake Point Tower in Chicago. This Chicago architecture photograph is part of a series of city architecture photographs in black and white.

Lake Point Tower in Chicago has the unique distinction of being the only downtown skyscraper to be located east of Lake Shore Drive. Designed by John Heinrich and George Schipporeit (students of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe) the building completed in 1968 and was the tallest apartment building in the world at that point in time at 645 feet. Its  unusual shape inspired the design of the Burj Khalifa by Chicago-based architect Adrian Smith.

Fun facts: Lake Point Tower has had a number of famous residents including Alice Cooper, Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell.

All photographic prints are available on professional semi-gloss or matte photographic paper. Each original print will be signed and fully mounted in your choice of black, cream or white card. Your artwork will be shipped in board-backed packaging within a sealed protective sleeve.
